Kerala is the home of Ayurveda in India. Ayurveda is a holistic, traditional medical system. Its premise is that illness results from disharmony in the individual’s natural, internal equilibrium.
Ayurveda is based on the idea that each person has certain life forces (doshas) and everything in the universe is connected. An imbalance in one area can affect another.
Ayurveda mostly uses nutrition, lifestyle changes, and natural treatments.
